WB Planning Lethal Weapon Reboot

Believe it or not, Lethal Weapon is getting a reboot. The venerable cop film series that put Australian superstar and complete wingnut Mel Gibson on the American map became big news again briefly in 2008, when word of a fifth film was being bandied about. Ultimately, Mel Gibson declined to take part, so the project was shelved. Now, a reboot with a new cast, penned by Tales From the Gangster Squad writer Will Beall and produced by Joel Silver, looks good to go.

Lethal Weapon

Murtagh and  Riggs without Glover and Gibson? Hard to say how good an idea this is, considering how often a new cast stomps all over a classic's charm (hello, Miami Vice).

What do you think of this news? I guess Danny Glover is getting too old for this shit!
