Well this came out of pretty much nowhere. Seems the house that mouse built has decided if you can’t beat em, buy em. They have just purchased Marvel Comics for a staggering $4 BILLION DOLLARS. This means that they can now make whatever Marvel movie or TV show they want, and get residual checks from the movies already in the pipeline making money.

“Walt Disney Co said on Monday it plans to buy Marvel Entertainment Inc for $4 billion in a deal that would add characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and the Fantastic Four to its entertainment empire.
The cash and stock deal values Marvel at $50 per share, or a premium of 29 percent to Marvel’s closing stock price of $38.65 on Friday. The deal has been approved by the boards of both companies.”
Makes you wish you had stock in Marvel just a few days ago huh? Anyone have any thoughts? I know that so long as they don’t have Wolverine taking on Donald Duck, I’m ok with it.
