Universal Classic Monster Collection Getting 4K Treatment

Four of Universal Studios classic monster movies are coming to 4K UltraHD just in time for Halloween. The 1931 classics Dracula and Frankenstein are the heavies in the set, but we can’t discount The Invisible Man and The Wolf Man when it debuts on 4K on October 5th.

There is no doubt that Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff will always be known for their famous takes on Dracula and Frankenstein’s monster. Due to Claude Rains being invisible he’s easy to miss and Lon Chaney Jr. played the Wolf Man. These four actors gave life and character to monsters on the screens.

Many of the features from the Blu-ray set will carry over into the 4K set including:

  • The Road to Dracula
  • The Frankenstein Files: How Hollywood Made a Monster
  • Karloff: The Gentle Monster, Monster by Moonlight
  • The Wolf Man: From Ancient Curse to Modern Myth
  • Now You See Him: The Invisible Man Revealed

There will also be some Steeblooks released for these titles. Check out the artwork and Steelbooks below.
