LucasFilm announced today that a new Blu-ray release for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is on the horizon. This will be the version you’ll want as it will include a commentary from director JJ Abrams and some never-seen-before- deleted sequences.
The four-disc 3D Collector’s Edition will be bountiful with new extra features as well. Here’s a look:
- Foley: A Sonic Tale – How the sounds are created for the movie by sound techs.
- Sound and Resistance – Blending recordings with sci-fi effects.
- Deleted Scenes – More footage removed from the film.
- Dressing the Galaxy – A look at wardrobe designs and how they updated the original trilogy costume with the designer Michael Kaplan.
- The Scavenger and the Stormtrooper – Daisy Ridley and John Boyega have a discussions (was available on Target exclusive edition)
- Inside the Armoury – Various weapons and armour worn by the resistance and the First Order.
