Variety is reporting that Pitch Perfect alum, Anna Kendrick, is in negotiations with Disney to play a female Santa.
The script is being written by Miss Congeniality scribe Marc Lawrence. The current running title is “Nicole” and will see Kendrick have to take over the family business when her dad, Santa, retires and her brother gets cold feet his first Christmas Eve.
Lawrence will also direct the film.
