JJ Abrams has an idea for Star Trek 4 and it involves George Kirk, played by Aussie actor Chris Hemsworth (you know… Thor). Paramount moved quickly on the idea and has already signed Hemworth to return.
How George Kirk will return to the franchise is unknown as he went down with the ship in the 2009 reboot. Will it be time travel, ghosts from the past? With the Kevlin timeline anything is possible.

Simon Pegg teased in December that he’s started writing the script with Dough Jung. No director has been attached at this point.
