Warner Bros. has big plans for the Hanna-Barbara catalogue theatrically and they plan to kick things off with the newly titled S.C.O.O.B. The animated feature planned for 2018 will see Mystery Inc. back on the big screen. During CinemaCon the studio announced that this will be beginning of “unlocking the whole Hanna-Barbera universe.”
That means we should expect to see other animated favourites such as the The Flintstones, The Jetsons, Johnny Quest, Hong Kong Phooey and Yogi Bear, a few with had live action adaptations, also get the animated big screen treatment.
Director Tony Cervone his currently set to helm S.C.O.O.B. based on a script by Matt Lieberman. The planned release date is September 21st, 2018.
