Genndy Tartakovsky’s involvement in the third film of the highly successful Hotel Transylvania franchise was unknown after the Sony email leak showed a creative battle between the helmer and star Adam Sandler, plus the cancellation the animated Popeye film he was working on.
However, based on the success of the first two it’s hard not to let the person that lead them there return to make the films into a trilogy. I expect the entire voice cast to return as Adam Sandler will stay on as executive producer and will be voicing Dracula. Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg will be returning to voice Mavis and Johnny as well.
Sony has set September 21, 2018 as the date for the third instalment of Hotel Transylvania.
