Bernie Mac in ANGELS 2?! INDY 4!! FREDDY VS. JASON!!! Melanie Griffith has been added to the cast of RKO Pictures\’ SHADE. Sylvester Stallone, Jamie Foxx, Thandie Newton and Gabriel Byrne have already been signed to star in the film about the world of card hustlers. Radha Mitchel and Julie Christie have been signed for the James M. Barrie biopic NEVERLAND, to be directed by Marc Forster. John Singleton is in final negotiations to helm THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 2, starring Tyrese and Paul Walker. The sequel will follow Walkers character as he tries to redeem himself after losing Dominic Torreto in the first film. Fox 200 has picked up THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA from first-time novelist Lauren Weisberger. It is about a small-town girl who goes to work for a New York fashion mag called \’Runway\’. Bernie Mac will replace Bill Murray in CHARLIE\’S ANGELS 2:HALO. Mac will take over the role of intermediary between Charlie and the Angels. Ronny Yu (Bride of Chucky) may be in negotiations to direct the long awaited FREDDY VS. JASON, with Hong Kong action star Kenneth Tsang rumored to be up for a role in the film. Frank Darabont has been officialy announced as the screenwriter for INDIANA JONES 4. Production will be scheduled for some time in 2004 for a summer 2005 release. Cedric The Entertainer is in negotiations to join the cast of INTOLERABLE CRUELTY for the Coen Brothers and Universal. CRUELTY will star George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones. Cedric is also attached to star in and produce FAMILY FIRST for Fox Searchlight. FAMILY is described as a road movie about a man taking his family to a reunion in Texas. THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: PITCH BLACK 2, which was due to start shooting in Vancouver in June has been rescheduled for October. Vin Deisel will reprise the title role of Riddick, an escaped space convict with surgically enhanced vision.
