The question here is does it surprise anyone that Ice Age is the number one movie this weekend? I suppose not; seeing as all the recent CG films have been kicking booty at the box office since Toy Story opened in ‘95. However, the big shocker this weekend may be Resident Evil taking the number two spot, even though reviews were not positive. I saw it and enjoyed it (watch for the review). Showtime, another new comer, took third with The Time Machine slipping 3 places to 4th. We Were Soldiers rounded off the top 5. Here is how the rest finished up: 1. Ice Age (47.85m) 2. Resident Evil (18.20m) 3. Showtime (15.36m) 4. The Time Machine (10.94m) 5. We Were Soldiers (8.80m) 6. All About The Benjamins (4.85m) 7. 40 Days And 40 Nights (4.60m) 8. John Q. (3.73m) 9. A Beautiful Mind (3.41m) 10. Return To Never Land (2.30m)
