Lest we forget…

Many of us will have a day off from our regular Tuesday activities this week. We here at Eyecravedvd would like to ask everyone out there, regardless of Nationality or Religion, to take a moment today to reflect on the infinite sacrifice and loss suffered over the past decades and centuries in the name of war.We would like to offer our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to all of those men and women, past and present, who have protected us and our liberties, and given us unending displays of bravery and character throughout the years. Please feel free to read on for a short dedication from us to them. In Flanders FieldsIn Flanders fields the poppies blowBetween the crosses, row on row,That mark our place; and in the skyThe larks, still bravely singing, flyScarce heard amid the guns below. We are the Dead. Short days agoWe lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,Loved, and were loved, and now we lieIn Flanders fields.Take up our quarrel with the foe:To you from failing hands we throwThe torch; be yours to hold it high.If ye break faith with us who dieWe shall not sleep, though poppies growIn Flanders fields.Major John McCrae, Canadian 1st Field Artillery BrigadeClick HERE for a look at Canada’s National War Memorial.
