It appears as though moviegoers have once again proven critics wrong by venturing into theatres to catch the two most ripped apart movies of the year, albeit, the year is still young. Kangaroo Jack opened in the number one spot over the weekend. According to the “Tomatometer Rating” at RottenTomatoes.com 75 reviewers gave this movie a score of 9%. That’s an astonishing 68 Rotten reviews. Next up we have National Security starring Martin Lawrence. It appears as though the critics tore a new one in this movie as well but that didn’t stop audiences from making it the number two movie over the weekend. Last weeks, critically kaboshed, top movie, Just Married slid down to third. Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers is still going strong taking fourth spot, while Catch Me If You Can, the game of cat and mouse, starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Tom Hanks fell to fifth.1.
