Here’s some noosels for your canoodles

Columbia Tristar is readying a DVD release of the critically acclaimed John Sayles film SUNSHINE STATE, which stars Angela Bassett and Edie Falco. The film will be released in Anamorphic Widescreen with a 5.0 Dolby Digital sound transfer. Sayles fans will be happy to note that there will be an audio commentary from the director, but there will be no other extras. Look for it, November 19.

IndieDVD is prepping to release their most expensive film yet, THE DEVIL’S KEEP. KEEP is the story of two teens that end up on the run while searching for buried Nazi gold. They are pursued by the Nazi’s who hid the treasure as well as CIA agents in league with the Nazis. The interesting thing about this one is the extras, which include an audio commentary and a detailed do*censored*entary on Nazi conspiracies as well as an interactive map that is based on what are believed to be the actual locations of real Nazi treasure troves.You can start digging on September 24.

BMG Music has announced the long-awaited DVD release of MY SO CALLED LIFE: THE COMPLETE DVD COLLECTION. The set will feature five discs featuring all 19 episodes of the critically acclaimed series in the original 4:3 Fullscreen ratio and 5.1 Dolby Surround. A limited edition ‘Lunch Box’ version will also be available with a 6th disc featuring extras and new interviews with the shows creators. Schools in October 8.

Those crazy Canuckleheads The Kids In The Hall are back with another DVD release on November 19.
THE KIDS IN THE HALL: TOUR OF DUTY is a live special celebrating and do*censored*enting their highly successful reunion tour from this past year. A 1.78:1 Anamorphic Widescreen transfer and audio in both DDS and DTS 5.1 prettify a cool package that also includes featurettes and rare backstage footage of the troupe during off-time.

Columbia Tristar has announced a huge price drop on a whack of catalogue titles for the Christmas season.
2001: A SPACE TRAVESTY, BOTTLE ROCKET, BREED, CRIMSON RIVERS, DOGMA, DRUNKEN MASTER, LEGEND OF RED DRAGON, MY GIRL, SHE CREATURE, TORTILLA SOUP, 8MM, THE BLUE LAGOON, FOOLS RUSH IN, THE THIRTEENTH FLOOR, U-TURN, WICKED, the 1998 GODZILLA and the Mariah Carey poop-fest GLITTER will all be reduced to sell on December 3.

Kino International, those purveyors of all things classic, will release a collection of previously unavailable William Wyler classics to VHS and DVD. (What’s VHS?)
The series will include THE LOVE TRAP, COUNSELLOR AT LAW, THE GOOD FAIRY and the docu-biography DIRECTED BY WILLIAM WYLER, a 1986 film produced by the legendary director’s daughter Catherine Wyler. The doc-u-mentary features interviews with such Wyler contemporaries as John Huston, Bette Davis, Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck and Barbara Streisand – all of whom had their careers bolstered by performances for Wyler.
Wyler’s films, including MRS.MINIVER and BEN HUR, have garnered a collective 14 Oscars for acting performances and 35 overall nominations, still a record.
The three-disc package, THE WILLIAM WYLER COLLECTION – EARLY FILMS, and the do*censored*entary will be available November 5, from the best DVD retailers near you.
