Potter Mania is still strong. The second installment, titled Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, had the third highest opening weekend ever behind Spider-Man and the first Potter movie. The sequel pulled in a smidgen less than last years film, which took in .3 million.
8 Mile took second spot this week, while The Santa Clause 2 slid only one spot to third. The Ring is still doing quite well as it took fourth spot and newcomer Half Past Dead opened in fifth.
