Details have finally been released on the upcoming STUART LITTLE 2. Unlike the original STUART LITTLE and it’s multitude of different releases, STUART LITTLE 2 will be released in one package with fullscreen and widescreen versions on the same disc. The film will feature a 5.1 DDS audio track and several features including audio commentary, a Celine Dion video, trailers, filmographies and DVD-Rom content. Also included will be a read-along version of the story, 2 interactive games and two featurettes, A TOUCH OF EVIL and LIFE IN THE FAST LANE.

MGM will finally release the long awaited DVD version of Mel Brooks 1968 classic THE PRODUCERS. Hilarity abounds as two scam artists hatch a plot to raise an abundance of cash for a muscial that they plan to be so horrible, it will have to close immediately, and they can pocket the extra dough. Only problem is, their atrocious play SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER is a monstrous success.
The brand new AW transfer should breathe new life into an old classic, aided by a new 5.1 DDS sound mix, deleted scenes, photo galleries, trailers and a do*censored*entary on the film’s history.
Look for it in fine establishments everywhere December 3.
If you’ve been scrounging your pennies to pick up the 20th Century Fox ALIEN LEGACY DVD box set, you’d better start counting your coffers… Fox has announced that the box set, as well as all four ALIENS films will be discontinued as of January 31, 2003.
Also due on December 3, MGM has another slate of ‘value-priced’ catalogue titles to offer.
BODY OF EVIDENCE will be released featuring both the R-rated and unrated cuts with Anamorphic Widescreen and 2.0 DDS sound. ALPHABET CITY, BLUE STEEL, MIAMI BLUES, DEAD OF WINTER, COMPANY BUSINESS, WHISTLEBLOWER and Rob Lowe classic BAD INFLUENCE will feature both fullscreen and widescreen transfers, 2.0 DDS sound and trailers. STATE OF GRACE and RUSH will feature Widescreen transfers only and 5.1 audio.
Following up that bumper crop, MGM has some real classics in store as well with MARLENE DIETRICH: HER OWN SONG, THE CHILDREN’S HOUR, WHERE’S POPPA?, THE THIEF OF BAGDAD, LEGEND OF THE LOST, THE ROAD TO HONG KONG and 1956’s A KISS BEFORE DYING. THIEF OF BAGDAD features fullscreen transfer and mono audio, all other releases are Anamorphic Widescreen and mono audio. All discs include trailers and production notes. These also arrive December 3 for the Holiday buying season.
