In fact, before the advent of DVD I owned all his movies, and I do mean all his movies, on VHS.Anyway, to get back on track Universal Soldier will be released in an all-new special edition DVD. We have the deets and, yup you guessed it, the cover art… Lions Gate Home Video will release the new special edition DVD starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren as soldiers re-animated into an elite undefeatable programmed squad on October 19th.The new edition will feature a new remastered 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen video transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 audio track. Special features will include an Audio Commentary with director Roland Emmerich and Van Damme, the featurettes Guns, Genres, and Fighting Machines: The Making-of Universal Soldier, an alternate ending, plus a music video from rap-metal band Body Count titled Body Count’s In The House.
