Finch – Review

Finch is a master class in acting from Tom Hanks. Unlike his last solo film, Castaway, Hanks has someone, or rather, something, to play off of with his robot creation… Jeff. Jeff is voiced by Caleb Landry Jones with so much gravitas you actually start to believe that he has a human mind. I wasn’t expecting Finch to be such a dramatic film. While it was listed as a dramatic film, I was expecting a ...[Read More]

Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes – Fantastic Fest Review

Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes is one of the rare instances when the time travelling comedy gets it right and makes it even more impressive that the movie is one shot. Delicately balancing that thin line between outrageous comedy and believable comedy, while doing a sci-fi comedy is a very tough act, but the story and performances certainly help carry this very well-crafted film. The film focuses...[Read More]

Ryan Reynolds confirms Free Guy Sequel

If you haven’t seen Free Guy (2021) yet, I hear good things about it and if the premise of a bank teller named Guy (Ryan Reynolds) discovering that he’s actually an NPC inside a brutal, open world video game sounds like fun, as it apparently is, then a sequel is a no-brainer really. I can already see it… “Free Guy 2- Albuquerque Boiled Turkey” (2023). Source: Twitter

Attack the Block – Theatrical Review

Upon hearing about “Attack the Block”, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. I didn’t really know much about it; somehow it had escaped my radar. But I did do some research and learned some very refreshing facts about the film, which quickly soothed my skepticism. Edgar Wright had been involved with the production, as well as Nick Frost. I’ve been a fan of both for a long time now, but the direct...[Read More]
