A fairly uneventful Con this year (except the Gotham Knight trailer) … such is the fate of a con which lies between WonderCon and the ever anticipated Comic-Con San Diego. We did get a few minor announcements which I’ll tag on in this article, so please, read on!
Lucas Films treated us to a sneak peak at the new Indiana Jones trailer on a big screen (the smaller version is all over the net). But no new footage, not a single lick. They did announce a Indiana Jones Lego video game, but that looked a bit silly… I guess if you’re a fan of those games then that might be cool.
The Star Wars stuff was pretty much a re-wash of the WonderCon announcements, followed by a preview of the game, but again that game trailer has been all over the net. The told us about the upcoming fanboy laden Star Wars Celebration: Tokyo (maybe I need to go to Tokyo now? Shane, if you’re reading this get on figuring out a reason I need to go to Tokyo!)
The floor was nothing special, I picked up one of the Iron Man limited edition busts, number 745-750!.
All-in-all I wasn’t thrilled, but I was happy, this show is managed ten times better then WonderCon or (I assume) San-Diego Comic-Con. It had its fair share of problems, mainly near the entrance of the ever-packed IGN.com theater. But it was fun, I enjoyed it, and hopefully the rest of the team will join me next year!
