Paramount Pictures and Sega signed off on a third installment on the heels of the second Sonic the Hedgehog movie that is being released this April, not wasting any time to expand the Hedgehog universe at lighting or hedgehog speed in both film and TV. Paramount+ is working together with Sega on a Sonic live-action series based on the character Knuckles voiced by Idris Elba and is set to launch in 2023.
Sonic fans can rejoice, not only do they get more movies and a series there’s also the highly anticipated video game Sonic Frontiers coming out this holiday season. Sounds like 2022 is going to be the year of the Hedgehog!
