So, I’m home safely (have been for quite some time!) and I thought I would take a chance to wrap up my experience at Wonder-Con.

All delays aside, I truly had the time of my life at WC 2008. It was a blast meeting people, it was a blast watching panels… you get the idea. What am I looking forward to? What disappointed?
The panels, are, of course the highlight of any con, but Wonder-Con has some of the best since it’s the first big convention of the year. Get Smart, and WALL E surprised most. The majority of the people there were mostly there for the much anticipated X-Files panel. WALL E quickly turned the crowd in its favor, and Get Smart had us all laughing until we cried.
Unfortunately the X-Files panel left MUCH to be desired. The die-hards liked it, but the clips shown were just disjointed, pointless, unfinished clips. The questions were some of the better ones asked at any panel, but we didn’t learn much of anything about the movie!
So what was the highlight of Wonder-Con for me? Meeting Bruce Timm is right up near the top, and the WALL E clips (they’re truly that good). I’m looking forward to covering more events later this year. As of this post I’m planning on heading down to New York City Comic-Con in mid April.
