With Army of the Dead set to release this coming Friday Netflix has provided some story info for the film’s prequel – Army of Thieves. It will be directed by Matthias Schweighöfer who plays the safe cracker in Zack Snyder’s new zombie world.
A mysterious woman recruits bank teller Dieter to assist in a heist of impossible-to-crack safes across Europe.
As this a prequel it will give us some insight to Snyder’s world before Zombie. Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Noemie Nakai, Peter Simonischek, and John Bubniak is now in Post-Production. The story comes from the mind of Zack Snyder, screenplay is by Shay Hatten.
Schweighöfer reprises his role as Ludwig Dieter and will be joined by Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Ruby O. Fee, Stuart Martin, Jonathan Cohen, Noemie Nakai, Peter Simonischek, and John Bubniak.
Netflix has not yet announced a release date for Army of Thieves, but this isn’t the only Army of the Dead Netflix project in the works. They are also working on a anime style based spin-off: Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas.
